The Oaks Academy is a school which promotes high aspirations and expectations for all our students. We aim to place ourselves at the heart of our community. Our staff value knowing our students well and we are keen to provide a caring yet ambitious learning experience for them.
We aim for all students to achieve their potential, and to recognise and nurture individual strengths. To this end we offer a broad and balanced Key Stage 3 provision from which students can opt for a range of GCSE options. We emphasise the importance of academic progress, nurture a balanced outlook and positive attitudes, and at the same time encourage our students to contribute meaningfully to our community.
Our pastoral provision is focused on nurturing individual needs whilst helping the children develop into well-rounded and responsible young people. We attach an emphasis on our students being safe, happy and successful, whilst being prepared for their futures – in further or higher education, apprenticeship or employment.

Easter Revision Sessions
Year 11 Easter revision sessions. Don’t forget to take advantage of this!
Debate Mate
Today, on Thursday 28th March, The Oaks Academy sent two keen debating teams to Cranage Hall. This was to engage in a Debate Mate session with the school’s trust and showed the passion and resilience that our year 9 and year 10 students have. Mr. Jessup is proud to announce that, despite not getting into the final two positions, The Oaks Academy did superbly well. Our 16 students narrowly missed out on making the final and were disappointed by the fact that they did not get those last few points. Mr. Jessup and the Debate Mate staff, however, were extremely proud. Winning 3/4 of the debates that they engaged in demonstrates the hard work and dedication that our cohort can shower under pressure. They inspired, they believed, they achieved.
Premier League Kicks Tournament
We were privileged to be invited to take part in the Premier League Kicks Tournament at Coventry. Our students represented Crewe Alexandra and played against teams from the West Midlands area. We came 3rd in our group, and we are very proud of the skills and resilience our students displayed. Many thanks to Ray Walker and Matt Fisher for all their support.
