Cheshire East Performance Table for The Oaks Academy

GCSE Results 2023

HEADTEACHER DELIGHTED WITH ONGOING IMPROVEMENT WITH GCSE RESULTS

At The Oaks Academy our students and staff are celebrating excellent GCSE results having worked exceptionally hard and demonstrating fantastic commitment. Many of our students have even exceeded their nationally measured expected progress. These results are particularly pleasing when considering there has been a national dip in GCSE results as we have returned to pre-pandemic grading criteria. The school is delighted with students achieving almost half a grade improvement in expected progress outcomes when compared with pre-pandemic results.

Headteacher Peter Kingdom congratulated the students on their hard work and well-deserved success:

We are delighted with the continued improvement in GCSE results. The school has made significant progress in the last 3 years and these results are a testament to that our students follow ambitious and challenging curriculum pathways which includes significant numbers being entered for the English Baccalaureate. These entries exceed both national and Cheshire East averages.

These results represent a real achievement for our students who have worked incredibly hard to achieve this level of success. I would also like to commend the efforts of the staff who have provided the individual care and attention that has enabled so many of our students to meet, and in many cases, exceed their personal targets.

There are so many high achieving students this year but a special mention goes to Angel T, Emily S, Leonardo S, Maria W, Rebecca P, Shih S and Victoria N, who achieved top grades in their subjects, including grades 7 to 9.
