National Apprenticeship Week

Between February 8th – 14th we will be bringing the whole apprenticeship community together to celebrate the impact of apprenticeships on individuals, employers, and the economy. Across the week you and your students will have the opportunity to hear from employers, previous apprentices, and current apprentices regarding their first-hand experiences.
We’re delighted to have secured speakers from the likes of PricewaterhouseCoopers, PM Training, Siemens and Perkins, who will be able to provide a detailed insight into the apprenticeship journey and how they can support the development of young people.
Across the week there will be on average 3 live sessions per day which will cover a range of topics such as employment prospects, how to secure an apprenticeship, and the impacts that apprentices make to the industry. More information about each session will be released early in the new year.
We would welcome you to click the link below to register your interest and find out more about the week and its activities. CLICK HERE.
“National Apprenticeship Week is a great opportunity to highlight the amazing opportunities that an apprenticeship brings to employers, individuals and the economy.” – Gillian Keegan Secretary of State for Apprenticeships and Skills
The Pledge
In partnership with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), the Pledge is running a Construction sector Industry Insight from 5-7pm on Tuesday, 2nd February.
This event is for Y11 and up, and over the course of 2 hours, young people will take part in interactive workshops via Zoom. Participants will have the chance to speak directly to employers and training providers, and find out about different jobs and training routes in the sector.

The Construction industry is vast and growing sector. Beyond employment in the well-known trades such as bricklaying, plumbing and plastering there are professional roles in project management, engineering and architecture, and support roles such as client management, HR, Finance and IT.
