ICT Technician
32.5 Hours per Week, Term-Time plus 3 weeks
Grade 5 – SCP 6 (FTE £19,171), actual £15,207

The Oaks Academy are seeking to recruit an IT Technician to support the smooth functioning of the school’s IT hardware and software.

 The role will include:  

  • Acting as the first point of contact for staff and students having problems with ICT equipment, software or logins
  • Creating accounts for new users on relevant systems, managing access rights and password resets as required
  • Carrying out daily checks of Physical ICT infrastructure
  • Carrying out daily checks of server space and backup processes
  • Installing and testing new software and hardware as agreed with the Trust network manager
  • To support ICT delivery in other schools in the trust as required

Teacher of MFL (Spanish and German) —Maternity Cover

Contract Term: Maternity cover (up to 1 year)

Responsible to: Curriculum Team Leader – Humanities and MFL 

 The Oaks Academy are looking to recruit an experienced Spanish and German linguist to join our Humanities and Modern Foreign Languages Department (MFL), in April 2020. This is a temporary role to cover maternity leave for up to 1 year.

The successful candidate will:

  • be a high calibre, experienced practitioner that can teach Spanish and German across Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Hold QTS or equivalent and a relevant undergraduate degree
  • be able to demonstrate a talent for motivating and enthusing young learners to achieve their best
  • show a strong commitment to promoting the well-being of pupils
  • have the ability to problem solve and manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • be resilient under pressure
  • understand the value of consistent application of school policies
