ICT Technician
37 Hours per week, full year contract
Grade 5 – SCP 6 (FTE £19,171)

The Oaks Academy are seeking to recruit an IT Technician to support the smooth functioning of the school’s IT hardware and software. 

The role will include:  

  • Acting as the first point of contact for staff and students having problems with ICT equipment, software or logins
  • Creating accounts for new users on relevant systems, managing access rights and password resets as required
  • Carrying out daily checks of Physical ICT infrastructure
  • Carrying out daily checks of server space and backup processes
  • Installing and testing new software and hardware as agreed with the Trust network manager
  • To support ICT delivery in other schools in the trust as required

Teaching Assistant
30 hours per week, Term-Time plus 1 week (39 weeks)
Grade 4 – SCP 3 (FTE £18,426) actual £12,834

The Trust are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to support the learning of students in Key stages 3 and 4. Successful candidates should look forward to working in a challenging and inspiring environment, will be passionate about providing an inclusive education and have a particular interest in working with SEND students. The ideal candidate will have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school environment or similar, with pupils that have a range of special educational needs. Applicants should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to promote our high expectations in literacy across the school. 

All school staff are expected to be open, inclusive, and dedicated to removing barriers to learning to enable students to successfully access the curriculum. Our TAs work constructively as part of a team within the SEND department and respond quickly to the changing needs of school life, using initiative, being proactive and exhibiting a genuine passion for working with young people.

Behaviour and On Call Officer—Maternity Cover
30 Hours per Week, Term-Time plus 1 week
Grade 5 – SCP 17  (FTE £19,171), actual £13,352

The Oaks Academy are seeking to recruit an Behaviour and On Call Officer to act as a dedicated behaviour patrol and contribute to the management of pupils’ behaviour, both in the classroom and around the school, as required. The post would suit candidates with previous experience of managing behaviour within a secondary or college environment and is supported by our Pastoral Function, SEN and Safeguarding teams.

The role will include:  

  • To respond to teaching staff via the on call system
  • To patrol and monitor the school environment promoting positive behaviour and to provide a physical presence on corridors during the school day
  • To liaise with parents/carers on behavioural issues
  • To provide support to pupils who are struggling to engage with classes and staff in cooperation with the SENDCO/HOYs/SMT with the aim of re-engagement in class
  • Safeguard and promote the general wellbeing and health of individual pupils and of any class or group of pupils
