The DofE program is a real adventure from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from. You just need to be aged between 14 and 24 and realise there’s more to life than sitting on a sofa watching life pass you by.
The Award Scheme was set up in 1956 by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. For the past seven decades the DofE had inspired the lives of millions of young people from all walks of life. From volunteering to physical activates, life skills to expeditions. Achieving the DofE Award is a passport to a brighter future , valued by employers and universities.
There are 3 levels Bronze, Silver and Gold and for each level, candidates have to complete the following activities:

  • Voluntary
  • Physical
  • Skills
  • Expedition

We offer both Bronze and Silver Awards and if you’re year 9 or 10 and think you have what it takes or what to challenge yourself by tip toeing outside your comfort zone – see Mr Austin for more details

Foster4 is a pioneering new foster carer recruitment service. Based at Warrington Borough Council’s offices, we are a collaborative project, recruiting foster carers on behalf of the four Cheshire Local Authorities: Cheshire East Council, Cheshire West and Chester Council, Halton Borough Council and Warrington Borough Council.

By pooling our resources, we are aiming to recruit even more foster carers, provide even greater support to the ones we have, and ultimately keep more local children with local foster carers, reducing our reliance on Independent Fostering Agencies (IFAs).

We launched on 3rd April this year and have been busy promoting fostering across our ‘patch’. We run regular recruitment campaigns, attend a whole host of events, shows and best practice conferences and run our own regular information sessions for those thinking about fostering.
